Rob is the owner of the Hunt'N'Shak and a great bow technician. He is great at troubleshooting your bow and getting it back the way it should be.  You can usually find him here in the shop as he doesn't attend tournaments. but, don't let that fool you. Rob is a great shot with either his compound bow or his recurve.
Rob has been an avid hunter and archer for over 30 years.
Rob received his first recurve bow, a Fred Bear, at the age of 14. In 1986 he bought his first compound bow. In 1988 he shot archery in college.  In 2001 Rob became a  certified Easton Arrow Smith. He also has received his technical archery certifications from the George Chapman Technical School as well as Bowtech University factory technical training in Oregon.
Rob and his wife Marcy attend Archery trade shows each year to keep up with new product releases and technologies as well as manufacturer innovations and trends. He carefully studies and learns about new products and how they can benefit his customers. A product must prove worthy for us to carry it in our shop.
Rob is a perfectionist when it comes to his customers equipment and wants them to have the best tools for the right job. Guiding buyers on their purchase will insure our customers success in the field or on the range.
Rob currently shoots a PSE Evo bow and his Sky Archery recurve, He also has a PSE Omen that draws only 50lbs but gets over 300fps proving that you don't have to draw a lot of weight to shoot a fast bow..
Customers come first here at the Hunt'n'Shak. Rob believes in total honesty when it comes to customers and their equipment, if it can be fixed Rob will fix it.
Rob and the rest of the crew at the Hunt'n'Shak have a vested interest in our customers success.

He was introduced to compound bows first but, several years later also took to traditional bows. After years of learning from various individuals and shops he worked part time for his first shop in 1985 in Georgia while stationed there in the military. No matter where the military took him he would always find and experienced shop and local clubs to shoot 3D and indoor targets to hone his skills. In 1994 Foster worked for another shop in Colorado until he moved to Virginia in 1997 after leaving the military. Foster has worked at the Hunt'N'Shak since it opened in 2006. He is proudly sponsored by the Hunt'n'Shak and PSE Archery as well as an active ASA member. He also received his technical certification from the George Chapman Technical School and he is a NASP Certified archery instructor.
For Foster, archery is a family sport. his wife and daughter and son all shoot. He is very proud of his daughter, Danielle, who is a member of the Liberty University College archery team.
For Foster archery is an addiction for the pursuit of excellence. He encourages others who shoot archery to stay on the journey and introduce others to the sport of competition and the great outdoors. He offers a special "thank you" to all those who have helped him throughout his journey.
